Austria—Hungary.

A CRISIS APPROACHING

Vienna, Feb. 19,

M. Kossuth has informed his followers that General Nyiri, the Emperor Joseph’s Commissary, possesses plenary powers to en.force the' dissolution of the Hungarian Assembly, and that he is fully resolved to use them. M. Kossoth urged calmness and the avoidance of violent conflict, even if force was used, since that would detract from the value of the Constitutionalists’ protest. It was clear the Government meant to irreparably infringe the Constitution of 1567. If it was ever restored it must be on a much wider basis. The other sections of the Liberals have resolved to protest against the dissolution.
