Miss Roosevelt’s Wedding
THE CEREMONY AT WHITE

New York, Feb. 18
Miss Alice Roosevelt, daughter of the President of the United States, was married on Saturday to Mr Nicholas Longworth, a member of the House of Representatives.
The ceremony took place in an apartment at White House, and was attended by 950 people, including a daughter of the late General Grant. A thousand presents were received, including gifts from the Pope, the Mikado, and the Empress of China. Immense popular interest was taken in the Wedding. Excursion trains carried fifteen thousand people to Washington to watch the bride’s departure.
