Early this morning Bishop Lenihan’s residence and the convent were ransacked, by three Grants of burglars. In the absence of the bishop the officials decline to give particulars. The thieves forced onen the locks of cupboards and ransacked them of valuables. aUifoA cheques and £6 in cash stolen. hast iimht thieves entered Mrs Robinson’s private house in Hardmge street while the members of the family were in bed, and went through all articles ot furniture '•enable of holding valuables. Thov made a thorough search. v ;.,.-r the contents all over the .doors, and were successful in discovering a sum of £\o, which had been done up into packages for the payment of tradesmen’s bills and placed in a sideboard cup- j board. j Christchurch, Feb. 13. j St. John’s vicarage, situated in the eastern portion o f the ohv, ■ was broken into on Sunday nighr I while service was being held in the I church, ond £7 10s stolen.
