Fekin, Feb. 13
The Viceroy of Focchow has been ordered to execute the ringleader of the Chinese who sacked the English mission at Chang-pu and to punish the others. The Viceroy reports that the outbreak was due to the Catholic mission detaining a Chinaman. The Catholic mission was first destroyed and then the English. Meanwhile the troops arrived and killed twelve rioters.
