PRESS COMMENTS. London, Dec. n. The Times says the inclusion of the Right Hon. James Bryce and Lord Aberdeen show that Home Rule will be a vital factor in the Ministry, while feeble in the House of Lords.
The Daily News and the Daily Chronicle consider the Govern* ment thoroughly representative of all the best shades of Liberalism.
The Morning Post characterises the Cabinet as a judicious selection that deserves a fair chance.
The Daily Express and Daily Mail say the Ministry is calculated to impress the country favourably, and the Daily Telegraph says it contains all the ingredients of a strong Cabinet. The Standard Says little fault is to be found with the disposition of offices. The Times says Mr John Burns’s administration as President of the Local Government Board will be watched with anxiety lest he promote more municipal meddling. The best points of the Cabinet are the allotment of the Foreign and Colonial Office. Lord Elgin’s,record is perfectiy free from partisan speeches. THF SEALS OF OFFICE transferred.
