LIBERALS TO ACCEPT OFFICE.
London, Dec. 2. The Cabinet has decided to resign.
It is expected that Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman will accept office, and go to the country in January. ‘ ‘ The Times ’ ’ says :—Lord Rosebery’s attitude, Lord Spencer’s illness, and Lord Ripon’s age render it possible that Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman will go to the Lords, leaving Mr Asquith to leads the Commons.
Mr John Redmond, M.P., speaking at Waterford, declared that no English statesman would be able to displace Home Rule as the great Imperial question of the hour. The solution did not mean a scheme of devolution, but an Irish Parliament with a responsible Executive.
