Helping the Unemployed.
London, Nov. ii. The Lord Mayor, in response to Mr Balfour’s Guild Hall speech, will open a fund for the relief of the unemployed. The Queen heads the list of subscriptions with A strong appeal is to be made to the charitably disposed of the Empire to assist in alleviating the sufferings of the starving unemployed. Earl De Grey is treasurer of the fund.
