Mr Vile, M.H.R., has been address* ing the /electors of Manawatu at Marton, Bulls, Upper Turakina and Wangaehu during the past week, and has been well received everywhere/ By request, he opened a flower show and sale of work at Turakina last Friday, in aid of a local church.
Mr Vile, after meeting a large gathering of his election committee last evening at Rongotea proceeded to address the electors in the Coronation Hall. The hall was packed, fully 300 persons being present. Mr Vile, on rising, was received with applause. His address was 'on the lines of his Upper Tetanui speech, and was a general criticism of the Government’s administration. He also criticized some remark made by Mr Stevens at Bulls. After a number of questions had been asked the speaker and satis* factonly answered, a vote of thanks and renewed confidence in him as their representative was unanimously : carried. f
