Grazing on Roads.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE MANAWATU HERALD. Sir— Kindly find a corner in your valuable paper for me to say that it makes our eyes and teeth water to see such nice and nourishing green grass going to waste on our by-roads, when it would do a poor cow like me so much good. Could not our City Fathers allow the roads to be open for the two months, November and December, as it used to be for years here from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., without doing anyone any harm. We hope some good Samaritan will propose and carry a motion to the above effect at their meeting on Monday night, and I will ever pray.—l am, &c., Hungry Cow,
