The Main Trunk.

THE CENTRAL SECTION TO BE COMMENCED.

Instructions have been issued to the Public Works Department to commence work on the central or Ohakune section of the Main Trunk railway line, as it is the intention of the Government to posh on the work with all despatch during the summer months. To this end the Public Works Department has requisitioned the Labour Department to secure some soo labourers—bush men or those used to labouring in the bush preferred. These men will be employed clearing away the bush which now covers the greater portion of the central section of the railway between Pipiriki and Waioru. Those willing to accept work on this section should make application at once to the officers of the Labour Department, where they, will he supplied with information regarding what is expected of them, and j what they may expect on the Obakune j section.—NsZ.
