London, Oct 25. In his annual statement M. E. A. Cornwall, chairman of the London County Council, showed that the debt of the County Council amounted to £44,620,266, including £11,500,000 taken over from the late School Board also £5,5000,000 in respect of remunerative purposes not involving a burden on the rates.
