Serious charges against high police officials were made before the Police Commission.

Mr McHugh, an ex-police inspector. Mated that he was greatly hampered in carrying out his duties by the Chief Commissioner.

A clerk in the Licensing Office Mated that the Chief Commissioner was part-owner in a certain hotel, and oa one occasion he had to serve a ■otice on him.

Other allegations of undue influence bv the Chief Commissioner were also made.
