Foxton Borough Brass Band.

A general meeting of the Foxton Borough Brass Band was held in the Racing Club rooms on Thursday evening, Mr T, Betty (bandmaster) in the chair.

The ibject of the meeting was to elect fresh officers' and committee, and to endeavour to set the Band on a better footing. Severa’ rules were made to work upon, and these were left to the new committee to adopt. It was decided to hold two practices weekly, viz., Monday and Thursday nights. The committee are to meet every month for the transaction of general business, and the bandmaster is to report every three months as to its pro* gress. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr E. Howe tor attending to torches, and to the Racing Club for use of rooms. The following officers were elected : Band Sergeant and Librarian, Mr Ebbett; Corporal,].
