Mr John fo contesting the Wellington North seat it ftfo general election. , Mr Hogbea is in town to-day mspeeting the Foxton Schoolhouse on behdlf Of the Government. Mr D. Willbtey* who left some months ago on a holiday tl'/p to the Old Country, arrived in Wellington this morning by the Paparoa. He is expected to arrive in Foxton to-night by coach. Mr Alexander Ross, who has been a resident Of Fdxtoil for over two years as engineer to Mr K. Barber, has accepted the position of second engineer on the s.s. Himitangi, and, we understand, commences his new duties at the beginning of the month. We join with Mr Ross’ numerous friends in wishing him every success on the briny.
