Lord Selborne, the New High Commissioner for South Africa, has arrived at Capetown. Mr Massey, Leader of the Opposition, addressed an enthusiastic meeting at Stratford on Tuesday evening. Mr Vile, M.H.R., was in town to-day on his way to Shannon, where he will this evening address the electors.
The members of the MacMahon Dramatic Company arrive tc-day to plav “ Led Astray ” in the Public Hall to-night.
The Hon. Hall-Jones has been this week in North Auckland, and speaking at Dargaville said he hoped to see the Main Trunk railway completed in three years, but would not make a definite promise that such would be the case. Bro. Fox, who is at present in the Palmerston North Hospital, in a private letter to a resident of Foxton says he is making good progress, and is deeply grateful for the many inquiries that have been made as to his health by old friends here.
