Keran, the swimmer, who is going to compete in the champion events in the Old Country' has left Sydney for England. A man named Franklin John Smith, builder of the Thames, died suddenly in the Cambridge train on Saturday. He was going there to consult a doctor. The Rev. Father Hays arrived at Greymouth on Saturday afternoon, and was accorded a public reception. He was met by a large crowd, and a procession, headed by a band, marched to the hand rotunda, where an address of welcome was presented.
