The Rey. Leonard Isitt is Still actively engaged in his temperance crusade in Britain. The “ Kilmarnock Standard” of January 14th reports that he concluded a successful week’s campaign in that town early in the New Year. That journal remarks “ Mr Isitt is undoubtedly one of the ablest and most successful temperance advocates of the present day. He has studied the liquor problem in all its. aspects, both at homeamd abroad, and is well equipped with information on the subject. Endowed with exceptional oratorical powers, his reasoning powers are no less remarkable, and the moderation and fairness with which he states his case lend great force to his appeal. Seldom have we listened to a more persuasive speaker, and we are not surprised to hear that his mission has been fruitful in a marked degree.
