* . “ THE SUNNY SOUTH.” Pressure on our space compels us to odrtail the report of the MacMahon Dramatic doings in our midst; sufficient to say that they had packed houses each night, and they well deserved them. The artists were of the beat, and it is pleasing to know that the Messrs MacMahon intend to pay Foxton a return visit at no distant date. On Monday night “The Sunny South,” a melodrama, dealing with Australian life principally, was staged to effect. There was a large amount of blood and thunder id the plot, but the public never lost interest, and were perfectly satisfied with the heroic doings of Mr Geo. Darrell, who impersonated “ Mat Morley,.’ The other characters were capably filled by the followihg Worthy Chester, Mr Henry Hodson j Ivo Caren, Mr Frank Hawthorn j Ben Brewer, Mr J. Henderson; Red Steeve, Mr G. Merrimen; Jos. Sergeant, Mr J. Wisdom; Eli Grup, Mr Oily Deering; Dick Duggan, Mr Alfred Bootbman; Black Tonny, Mr Lionel Walsh; Perfidy Bounce, Mr L. Vane; Johnny Jenks, Mr T., Power; Babs Berkley, Miss Ada Lawrence; Clarice Cheater, Miss Hilda Meade; “ Molly,” Mrs" Barry Lane.

“TRANSPORTED FOR LIFE.” Oa Tuesday evening “ Transported for Life ” was witnessed by another packed house. As “ Bob Bagot,” the much-wronged man, Geo. Darrell made a big hit, whilst Oily Deering as William Dove,” shone to excess. The other characters were all well impersonated.
