Motuiti Ball.

Some thirty couple attended the ball at the Motuiti Meeting House, which was given last night by the natives. Mr N. Heta made an obliging and efficient secretary and M.C., and attended to every want of the Foxton and Himatangi visitors. Mr R. Smith (piano) provided the music, which was danced to until about two o’clock this morning. An appetising supper was handed round. During the evening, songs were contributed by some of the (visiting gentlemen Poi dances by twelve Native ladies and a Maori war dance by the Native gentlemen were items much enjoyed by the visitors.
