Foxton School Committee.
A meeting of the above committee was held last night. Present —Messrs A. D, Clemett (chairman), 0. L. Barnard, F. E. Jenbs, H. Austin, H. Bradcock, Rev. H. F. Wilson, and the Secretary (Mr S. H. Baker). • The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. A number of accounts were passed for payment. The Committee expressed considerable dissatisfaction at the incompletness of the alterations to the school, two doors and a doorway being omitted from the specifications. The Secretary was instructed to write to the Board on the matter, and also for 45 dual desks for the infant .room, as no seating accommodation has been provided for that room. The Committee passed a resolution congratulating the Teaching Staff on the excellent report of the Inspectors on the result of the examination, who stated that the work done whs a great advance on the standard of last year’s examination. The meeting then adjourned
