Wandering in a discursive fashion over things in general the other night, tne Premier remarked, “ I believe members have to put up with a good deal.” This' was after a thirty-five minutes’ speecn, and a self-pitying House murmured ,‘ Hear, hear!” Among the most interested of the spectators in the galleries during the licensing debate were a number of representative publicans from various parts of the colony.
