To-night the Savieri Dramatic Co. stage that most fascinating of Irish -dramas, “ The Colleen Dawn.” Dion Bouoicault, the master of dramatic writers, spoke of this play as his masterpiece, and the beauty and humanity of its sympathetic story, the stirring nature of its introduced songs, and its beauty of conception make it deservedly 'popular. In the hands of the Savieri Co. the piece is well staged an<j, powerfully acted, according to pi oSa opinions, The company, w afoii arP i veg i n town today is a strong o ne, and includes amongst ©fchers, Miss Bellerton(the renowned English ac"re<,ja), Mr Peter Savieri (the old Lavorite comedian), Mr James H. Martin, Mr Harold Mercer (here with the Majeronis), Mr Paul Clifford (American Papples Co.), Mr W. Basil Leon (Ward’s South African Comedy Co. and Wilson-Barrett Co.), George Kensington (West London Co.), George Marshall and Gordon Bland, &o. Miss Ethel Gilson (the popular Australian actress), Miss Birdie Foley, Annie Brandt, Kate ■Fisk, and others. The box plan is now open at Mr Fraser's, where ladies may book front seats at two shillings, a concession which has proved very popular.
