Railway Accident near Liverpool.
An express train proceeding to Southport was derailed at Waterloo, near Liverpool. It crashed into the lower part of a f otbridge. The wreckage was appalling. The engine, continuing its career, entered the station, veered round, and hurtling upon the platform, ex* ploded. The ticket office at the station wcs wrecked. Five persons were killed and many injured. Thirty were conveyed to hospital.
