Foxton Athletic Club.

A committee meeting of the above was held last night at Mr Laing’e hotel at 8 o’clock.

Mr Noonan was voted to the ehair. The tenders for booth -were considered, and it was resolved' that the tender of Langley Bros, he accepted at £5.

It was also resolved to cancel the amateur events from the programme. Resolved that a Boot Novhltyßaca be added to the programme of 100 yards, the trophies to be Mr W. Baker’s special for Ist', and Mr Walker’s trophy for 2nd prize. Resolved that the chairman interview donors of trophies and ascertain their wishes in the disposal of them, now that the amateur events have been withdrawn from programme. Resolved that a genera! meeting be held next Monday evening at Whyte's Hotel , The meeting concluded with votes of thanks to Mr Laing for the usa of room, and to the chairman.
