A Strange Divorce Case.

— A peculiar case was before the Divorce Court, Sydney, in which Mary Green petitions for a divorce from William Green. The parties are well-known in business circles. The petitioner alleged that Green ' deserted her in 1868. She admitted that she bad lived in New Zealand under the name otWalker, being under engagement to a gentleman of that name, and that her son took the name. Shd kept the Trafalgar Hotel, in Castlereath street, a few years ago, her son holding the license. ' The respondent, who is married, denied that he ever knhwihe petitioner , and satisfied the Judge that it was a . case of mistaken identity. Petitioner’s counsel admitted the mistake, and the petition was dismissed with costs against the petitioner.
