Mr Fraser's Shop.

* Those who are in search of Xmas presents for young and old cannot do better than call at Mr Alf Fraser's establishment. We have been shown the thousand and one articles he has lately stocked to suit the likely demands of the district and we have no hesitation in saying that those who are not satisfied will be hard to please. In Xmas cards the assortment is the largest that has ever been shown in this town, and they are of beautiful designs and others of a very comic character. Toys are beyond the imagination of man, though perhaps not of children, and are represented in guns, ships, engines, - cycles, dolls, games &c &c, ranging in price from the humble halfpenny to the noble sovereign. Fancy goods *c largely stocked, and amongst them are workboxes, writing desks, ladies companions, and silver mounted purser and album?. Wall placques and wnl| ornaments are to be seen, handpainted and otherwise. The book department is most interesting comprising all the Xmas

I annuals, and handsomely bound prize and reward books. Copies of all the Colonial Christmas numbers of the newspapers : and a fine number of N.Z. diaries in all sizes and costing from ninepence upwards. The shop windows are a credit to the town, one being filled with handsome books and albums, the other with a sample of the toys to be obtained inside. Mr Alf. Fraser should do a good business as he has done all he can to secure it by having a stock | which will be hard to beat. t>
