A Chapter of Accidents.
. » Trouble nevur come singly. The big pant; of Messrs Kemp and Jnpp after the accident on Thursday when she bad a hole knocked into her wasi repaired on Friday and got to work again only to ran into a snag which necessitated her being beached near Austin's mill, when she disappeared! under water leaving only the top of | her deck house out of water. In beaching her she was allowed to stick at right angles to the beaok and thus was the cause of trouble to another boat. The smaller punt of the same firm was left at Symon'a mill in the same place that the Sunbeam came to grief ~ and met with exactly a similar fate, having canted over as the tide fell and filled and sank. The screw steamer Mafcara came down the river on Tuesday night and! steaming along the shore ran into the submerged big punt stoving in a part of her bows, and the crew had all their work to beach her near to the shallows on the opposite side of the the river, where yesterday she was held safe by a punt being fastened to either side of her.
