Caribbean Hurricane.
The United States commander of Puerto Eico reports that the recent hurricane caused an appalling lO3S of life and terrible devastated the island. A hundred thousand persons have been rendered homeles3 by the hurricane, and it is feared that a famine will follow. In the Poncp district two thousand persons perished. Six thousand ara starving at"Humaca. At Yabucca 280 persons were killed, and there are two thousand dead in the neighbourhood of that place. Arecibo wa=? al-*o smitten, aid five hundred perished there.
