New 3 has been received that Lieutenant-Colonel Evat% an officer in charge of Indian troop 3, in Uganda and also accompanied by Waganda auxiliaries, has met the rebels under Kabarega, the slave-hunting King of Unyoro (with whom Mwanga, the exiled King of Uganda- had taken refuge), ou the east bank of the Nile.

Colonel Evatt's force defeated the Unvoraus, killing 800 and also capturing Kabarega and Mwanga.

In the engagement Colonel Evatt lost two men killed, and twenty were wopnded.
