FINDING THE BODY.
SHOT IN THE HEAD.
The Nundah mystery has developed in a sensational manner.
The search parties discovered the body of the unfortunate boy Hill about 200 yards away from the spot where the dead pony was found. It appears that a terrible stench attracted the searchers to the remains which were in a high state of decomposition, and, with the exception of the feet, covered up with bushes.
A hole supposed to have been made by a bullet, was discovered in the head. Pending the arrival of a doctor the police refused to allow the body to be disturbed.
It is suggested that there is in this
tragedy a connection with the Gatton murder, but the police believe the crimes to be entirely distinct.
