Another Queensland Sensation

Another mystery was reported to the police a fortnight before Christmas. A boy named Hill, aged 15 years left his parents' residence at Nundah, near Brisbane, to spend a few days with relatives. He never reached his destination.

A tew Jays since the lad's pony was discovered dead with a bullet wound in its forehead, ten miles from Brisbane. The horse lay among the bushy scrub. Near by were the remains of a fire and several pieces of roasted flesh. These have been submitted to an expert for examination for the purpose of determining whether it is human flesh. The father of the lad is convinced that harm has been done to his son, as he would not be likely to leave home. The police are investigating.
