IN MEMORY OF GORDON.
An impressive service was held on the steps of the late General Gordon's palace in Khartoum. The Sirdir wa^ present. The Egyptian flag was hoisted and siluted, and the British National Anthem was sung. Cheers were 'iivcn for the Queen and the Khedive, and the dead march wa<? played in memory of General Gordon.
