PURSUIT OF THE KHALIFA.

The Anglo Egyptian cavalry pursued the Khalifa for 80 miles, and then abandoned the chaae, the horsas being exhausted. The Arab allies, on camels, are continuing the pursuit. Natives of El Obeid, the principal town of Kordofan, towards which the Khalifa is now making, have informed General Kitchener that the inhabitants of Kordofan are not Mkely to receive the defeated Khalifa —that he will probably be slain by the hostile tribesmen.
