Pink Pills in Court.
# PRISONERS SENTENCED FOR COUNTERFEITING. On the 10th inst. the Chief Justice of South Australia sentenced two men, "rank Ashley and William Smith, to erms of imprisonment with hard lajor (the latter, however, being released \y the clemency of the Judge under \ie the first Offenders Act) for selling ;ounterfeit Pink Pills as the well known }t Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People nd for thus obtaining money under ajse pretences. Evidence showed pat the counterfeit Pills had been urchased by a number of persons on tie faith of the prisoners' allegations. Tie public would do well to profit by fnese facts, and to scrutinise carefully tjie goods offered when advertised medicine is asked for. We are requested to add that the Dr Williams' Medicine Co., Queen's Place, Sydney, whose Pills have been |h,e subiect, of somewhat extensive substitution by retailers, and who are deyoting considerable energy to the detection of that practice, will pay a 1 reward for private information leading tq the conviction of offenders.
