Acetylene Gas.
In another column the abridged prospectus of the New Zealand Acetylene Gas and Carbide Manufacturing Co., Ltd., is advertised. The business of the New Zealand Acetylene Gas Co. is to be purchased fpr' £5000, and the capital of the new company has been fixed at £100,000 in £i shares; and the vendors take their money in fully paid up shares. The company hope to make 225- per cent on their capital while selling carbide at fourpence per pound, which it is calculated will be giving the public light equal to coal gas at 3s 6d per iooott or kerosene at threepence per quart.
