Foxton Dramatic and Musical Club.

TO-NIGHT'S CONCERT. The programme published to-day sets out the items to be rendered by the performers at the concert to-night. Mr Alf. Fraser, the energetic secretary has done all he can to meet the tastes of the public, and a very - pleasant evening can be looked forward to. It will be noticed that many of the performers, if not new to the Foxton public, have not at any rate sung or ' played often. Madame Thompson, R.A.M., has kindly travelled from Palmerstoh to assist the new club, also Mr Rodgers, and a duet by these two performers. will be a treat. Mr Silk has not often been heard and he has put himself out of the way to lend a hand. Mr McQueen has already " caught on " with his audiences and his character sketches are given in a crisp, bright manner, most enjoyable to listen to. Mrs J. Robinson is always a favourite. Messrs Alf. Fraser and Westwood give recitations. The overtures are in capable hands. The Misses West and Collins are amongst the soloists which will be appreciated. We notice also that Messrs Betty and Lamb give an instrumental duet. We hope to see a bumper house. We have been informed that all the three rows of front seats have-been taken and that an extra row provided is being rapidly filled. Every attention has been paid to make the stage attractive.
