»■" The Marchioness of Breadalbane has an interesting personality. She is probably the most popular among the Liberal leaders' wives, for she is always ready to entertain the rank and file of her husband's party. Curiously enough she was as a girl a great pet of Lord Beaconsfield, and he had a high opinion of her poetic gifts. Indeed, he was iond of saying that in time she might have become the feminine pride of her generation. Lady Breadalbane is never so happy as when staying at Taymouth Castle, her husbands' beautiful Highland seat, for when there she can indulge in her love of fishing, which is a sport in which she takes the greatest interest. Mr F. E. Wetherley, the famous song-writer, is a very learned lawyer, He makes a ' speciality of copyright cases. It is Strang to think that the author of " Nancy Lee," " Douglas Gordon," and "• Uncle John " is well known in the profession as the writer of a learned " Manual of Logic." H_____________B_____M____|
