At two o'clock the cortege, headed* by the firing party— the Wanganui Riflesmarched to Pufeiki, which occupied nearly an hour. Hon J. Carrol delivered a speech at the graveside, in whioh he narrated the loyal services rendered^ 6y the late Major Kemp.
