Judge Kettle and Ministers.
MINISTER UNRESERVEDLY WITHDRAWS STATEMENTS. The Wanganui Chronicle hears that the charges which were published m Parliament by the Hon. Minister of Lands last session against Mr District Judge Kettle, regarding his action*fci " suspending Mr Barns* certificate of discharge in bankruptcy, have been unreservedly withdrawn, and that the Government have intimated to Judge Kettle that they are quite satisfied that there was no ground whatever for imputing to him corruption or breach of duty in the performance of his judicial functions. The date for the sale of the mare in the pound is altered to Saturday week.
