Alleged Poisoning.

THE HASTINGS SENSATION. The investigation into the death of the infant child of the Tysons (that was supposed to have been poisoned) was continued on Tuesday, Mr H. A. Cornford watching the case on their behalf. Constable Smith gave evidence as to sending certain sealed exhibits tcT' the Government Analyst by the hands of Constable Butler. He produced a telegram received from the Police In. spector's office, Napier : — " No poison found in children's exhibit. Report will be sent by Wednesday's express." There was some cheering at this announcement, which was immediately suppressed. — N.Z. Times.
