Raports from West Africi state that the French have occupied Onyenne, situated to tha east of Bissandugo, an important town on one of the southern tributaries of the Niger. French reports confirm the seizure by the French expedition of Faahoda, on the White Nile. Ihe British Government at the time of tha seizure reported, that it had intimated to France that this would be considered a decidedly unfriendly act.
