There was a capital attendance at the above racos yesterday. The train from Palmerston was crowded with excursionists. The course was in splendid order, add the weather glorious. Following are the results :—
Maiden Hurdles.— Sultador, 10 it 101 b, 1 ; Nayborn, lOst, 2 ; Penelope, 103t, 8. Time, 2min 56 1 Sth seo. A protest against the winner aa not eligible was dismissed. Dividend, £1 14s.
Manawatu Gorge Handicap. — Sundial, 64 61b, 1 ; Daphne, 83t 51b, 2 ; The Miller, Bat 81b, 8. Won with the greatest ease by two lengths. Time, Bmin 42sec. Dividend, £4 5.?.
Ashurst Guineas. — Whitney, 1 ; Derry, 2 ; Capture, 8. Time, lmin 50 l«sth sec. Dividend, £2 2*.
Flyino Handicap. — Aquatic, 1 ; Petroline, 2 ; First Shot, 8. Time, lmin 17sec. Dividend, £2 ss.
