Haw to Bamove Ink Steins From Prints.
Ink stains are hard to deal with, but sraoh may be accomplished if they are only treated in time. One good remedy Is to tear blotting paper to pieces and bold the rough edges on the ink when it is freshly spilled. If there is no blotting paper at hand, cover the spot with indlan meal, or liquid ink may be absorbed by cotton batting. When ink is spiUed, tn« first care should be to preYeat 1 it from spreading. solution of ozalio, oitrio or tfutvia aoid may be applied to paper prints to remove stains of ink without much fear of damage, but there is ahrays a certain amount of risk unless aconstomed to the work. If the stains are not of too long standing, a solution of chloride of lime should remove them. Wet a teaspoonfnl-of chloride of lime with just sufficient water to cover it Take a soft cloth, wet it with the mixture and pat — not rub— the spot gently with it for a few minutes, and the ink should shortly disappear. A second applioation may be tried if the first does not raooeed.
