Wednesday. The Constitution Act Amendment Bill was read a first time. The Financial Debate came to a sudden end from some misunderstanding. The Canterbury College Bill was passed. The Property Law Amendment Bill, Photographic Copyright Bill, and the River Boards Act Amendment Bill, were read a second time. The School Committees Election Act, 1891, Amendment Bill, which provides that nominations for the committee must be sent in a week before the election was thrown out. The Truck Act Amendment Bill was read a second time by 29 to 24 in spite of the opposition of the Premier, who however succeeded in committee in getting progress re* ported, thus delaying its passage. Thubsday. The Criminal Code Amendment Bill was passed. The Municipal Corporations Act Amendment Bill was read a second time. The Domestic Servants HalfHoliday Bill passed through Committee with amendments. The Divorce Act Amendment Bill was passed. The second reading of the Referendum Bill was carried on the voioei . Friday. The Contagious Diseases Act Amendment Bill, the Ascetic Restriction Bill (No. 2), the Undesirable Hawkers Prevention Bill were read a second time. The Shipping and Seamena* Aot Amendment Bill passed throigh committee, and also the Railways Compensation Adjustment Bill. I Progress in committee was reported on the Second-hand Dealers Licensing Bill.
