♦ The strategic railway along tha Nile from Wady Haifa has been completed as far as Ferkeh. Nine deaths have occurred from cholera among the troops at Wady Haifa. Tbe Egyptian troops have advanced to Kosheh. It is reported that 20,000 Dervishes, who are resolved to fight, aie massing -at Dongola. Tiiere is some tension between o;raan Digna and the Khalifa, owing to the latter denuding the Huakim district of men and arms.
