American Paper.

A syndicate of American paper manufacturers is supplying a large amount of the print paper now being used for London publications. The reason is that American paper is cheaper than Engliph, and strange to say, the carriage from the Yorkshire mills to the metropolis is 35 shillings per ton, whereas it is less than 12 shillings from New York. It is stated that two London dailies contemplate running their editions on American paper. American paper is now supplied to most of the New Zealand papers.
