Licensing Totalisators.

The Gazette contains regulations for the license of totalisators. It is provided that the number of licenses that may be issued by the Colonial Secretary in any one year shall not exceed 156. Each application shall be accompanied by a programme of the proposed meeting, duly verified, together with a list of the members of the club, and a copy of the last balance-sheet of the club, verified by the statutory declaration of the seoretary, treasurer or other principal executive officer. The Colonial Sect ratary shall have power to refuse or withhold the granting of a license in any case.
