The Belgian Government has authorised the railway companies to import live sheep to be slaughtered for export. The United States Government is sending a warship to Syria to enquire into the attack on the American College in Tarsus. Five huudred hostile natives invaded Zanzibar, but were met and chased off, with a loss of 50, by British and native regulars. In the engagement the lO3S of the garrison was 10 killed.
