University Boat Race.
The annual University boat race ! between Oxford and Cambridge was rowed on Saturday. 4- At the start Oxford jumped away witbr the lead, and maintained it : throughout, winning easily by a j length and a half. The time was 20nain. 50'ec. j This makes Oxford's sixth consecutive win. i .These races were started at Henley in 1829, but did not become annual contests till 1856. Up to now Oxford has won 29, and Cambridge 22 races. j
