A Terrible Tragedy.
_- V A mysterious tragedy is reported from Maryborough, 112 miles northwest of Melbourne. A widow who keeps a boardinghouse left her home to post a letter, and on her return found three of her children, aged 7, 5 and 8 years respectively,, with their beadkrtfcerkl in by a tomahawk." Two of the children are dead, and the third lies in a critical condition. There is no clue to the" perpetrator. Five pounds and some jewellery are missing from ;: Mr s; house. The theory is that the robber was disturbed, and in. -revenge- "murdered the children before decamping.
